Our house is being over run by pollitos!
I made pollito aka baby chick cake balls for Lyssa’s school for Easter and these are the few left overs that I kept for us at home
Lol all these pollitos reminded me of a song we used to sing as kids so I had to look up the lyrics
Los pollitos dicen
(Los po-yee-tos dee-sen)
Pio, pio, pio
(Pio, pio, pio)
Cuando tienen hambre
(Kwando tee-n-en ambrey)
Cuando tienen frio
(Kwando tee-n-en free-o)
La gallina busca
(La ga-yen-a boos-ka)
El maiz y el trigo
(El maze e el tree-go)
Les da la comida
(Les da la ko-me-da)
Y les presta abrigo
(E les presta a–breeg-o)
Bajo sus dos alas
(Baho sus dos alas)
Acurrucaditos
(A-ku-rrr-u-ka-dee-tos)
Hasta el otro dia
(Asta el o-tro dee-a)
Duerman los pollitos
(Dwer-men los po-yee-tos)
La gallina dice
(La ga-yee-na dee-say)
Cloc, cloc, cloc
(Klock, klock, klock)
Cuando canta el gallo
(Kwando kanta el ga-yo)
Cuando sale el sol
(Kwando sa-le el sol)
Bajo sus dos alas
(Baho sus dos alas)
Acurrucaditos
(A-ku-rrr-u-ka-dee-tos)
Hasta el otro dia
(Asta el o-tro dee-a)
Duermen los pollitos
(Dwer-men los po-yee-tos)
La gallina dice
(La ga-yee-na dee-say)
Clock, clock, clock
(Klock, klock, klock)
Cuando canta el gallo
(Kwando kanta el ga-yo)
Cuando sale el sol
(Kwando sa-le el-sol)
Translation:
The Little Chicks
The little chicks say
Pio, pio, pio
When they’re hungry
And when they’re cold
The chicken looks for
Corn and wheat
She feeds them and
Covers them with warmth
Under her two wings
She cuddles them
The chicks sleep
Until the next day
The chicken says
Cloc, cloc, cloc
When the rooster sings
When the sun comes out
Under her two wings
She cuddles them
The chicks sleep
Until the next day
The chicken says
Cloc, cloc, cloc
When the rooster sings
When the sun comes out
