DIY Lumiere

So I have started on the props for Alyssa’s Beauty and the Beast party (yes, yes I know her birthday isn’t until March…but last minute running around drives me crazy so I start early) 😁

The first character I started was Lumiere. Lyss helped me pull this Christmas candle holder apart.

Our demolishin side came out and we had a lot of fun pulling, twisting and prying the pieces off lol. After it was completely dissembled I twisted the smaller bar so it would be shaped like Lumiere’s arms and glued it with permanent E6000 glue so it would stay put.

Then I shaped his body with air dry clay.

After everything was dried I spray painted him gold and added some battery operated lights and voila! Lumiere has come to life!

Zoo Themed Lunch 2

We got a special treat at the zoo, in addition to all of the amazing animals they also had a Lego exhibit. There were 16 displays from Polar Bears to a Lion, but they also had a momma & baby Bison and I created this lunch based off of this particular display. The mom was made out of around 43,000 blocks and the baby was created from around 16,000 blocks.

Zoo Themed Lunch

I made tomorrow’s lunch as a special way of remembering our amazing trip to the Denver Zoo today.

We got to see so many amazing animals but I certainly couldn’t fit the whole zoo in her lunch lol, so I chose some of our favorites. When she saw her lunch tonight her favorite was definitely the crocodile who was made from the side of a cucumber. It was so cute because she was happy the carrots separated him from the elephant (I think she was worried the crocodile would try and bite the elephant), I swear this little girl is so darn cute. 😊

Wonder Woman Lunch

I made this lunch for my little Wonder Woman.

Per request she got a ham sandwich

Topped with Strawberry roll up

The Wonder Woman symbol is made out of American Cheese

Her crown is homemade banana bread with a pepperoni star

And I had to include her favorite Babybel cheese with a star cut out

MC2 School Lunch

Tonight our little miss put in a special request for tomorrow’s lunch and I felt so out of it because I had no idea what she really cool show she was talking about lol. So after immediately googling what the heck Project MC2 I discovered that it was about kid spies that are also into science so was I was happy to comply (yup the inner science geek came out in me…judge if you want to 😉).

So I came up with the following lunch and got a thumbs approval from our secret agent….I mean from A-Bear. Lol

Sandwich cut into a rectangle and with the help of provolone and some edible markers it now looks like notebook paper.

Pepperoni cut into MC2 with some mini cookie cutters.

I converted a stick of colby cheese into a pencil with a pink sharpie marker for the eraser and a pen for the details.

Lastly to finish off the look I filled a test tube with green sixlets.
