Some Good Advice

So the other night my boss had made the comment that her and her husband started that tradition 20-some years ago not answer their phone(s) during dinner; since its the only meal that they get together.
After she left her words kept ringing in my head and I couldn’t help but think how many dinners over the years we interrupted with answering a text or phone call so that very night I mentioned the subject to my hubby and we both fell in love with the idea of turning our phones off during dinner whether its a big family dinner or just the two of us enjoying a bite together.
I challenge everyone to turn the cell phone off and enjoy some family time. I know that I want my spouse and child to look back in 5, 10, 15, 20 years from now and remember spending quality family time together instead of how much I was distracted…

Threesixfive – Day 68

Josh and I firmly believe in spending quality time together so we usually try to get a date night every 1 to 2 weeks. Tonight we decided to go to the theatre and watch a movie…especially since it was the opening weekend for Avengers! (k so now you our secret that we were/are both comic books nerds) Hands down this is my new favorite movie!!!! It was awesome Awesome AWESOME!!! I won’t ruin for anyone who hasn’t watched it but is planning to but I will say that you will not be disappointed! It had so much action yet didn’t lose sight of the story line and each avenger got his/her chance to shine. This will be a definite buy and probably a rare return trip to the theatre or possibly the drive in.

Threesixfive – Day 57

I have to admit that I love the fact that my Honey knows me better than I know myself at times…
I have been in a foul mood for the last few days and couldn’t put my finger on why…yet tonight as I was walking out of work my honey was waiting there for me and surprised me with a date night and I realized with a sudden rush of happiness as I sat there in his arms that I am truly addicted to my soon to be hubby and I simply was needing my Honey fix.
